3 Toddler Smoothies with Hidden Veggies
The perfect snack for afternoon tea or for breakfast on the run? Smoothies!
It’s a win-win situation in our household, my boys love the naturally sweet taste and I know I’ve packed them full of nutrition from fruit and veggies.
Tips for making smoothies for your toddler
One of the best ways to help your toddler eat more fruits and vegetables is by packing them into smoothies. Smoothie recipes are flexible and you can create lots of different combinations, depending on the flavours your kids like.
If you are introducing Smoothies to your toddler for the first time here are a few tips:
- To get started, you may like to add a little sweetener such as honey or maple syrup.
- Add a fun name to your smoothie like ‘Green Monster’.
- One of the features of the Reusable Smoothie Cups is that you can’t see through them. Which means the kids can’t see what’s inside (none the wiser of the veggie ingredients inside!). Choose your toddler’s favourite colour to make it even more fun!
- Add a fun reusable straw
Some of our favourite smoothie combinations can be made for breakfast, morning tea or an afternoon tea snack! You can also pre-make your favourite smoothie combinations and keep in the freezer, simply grab and blend.
